Bloomsburg Bicentennial

These are a few photos from Bloomsburg Pa's Bicentennial event. Photos taken by Anna Renee. The photos shown are of one of the people who were dressed as a Native American.

Stuart the Tank

"1942 M3A7 Stuart Light Tank was manutactured by American Car and Foundry Co. of Berwick, Pa. There were 4,410 produced in 1942. These tanks were obsolete by 1943. This tank was powered by a continental W670-9A, 7 cylinder air cooled radial engine. It is 668 cu. in. producing 242 HP, consuming 1.1 mpg.

 

Armament consisted of one 3mm gun, three 30 cal machine guns, and one Tompson Submachine gun. The tank carried 106 37 mm rounds, 7,220 .30 cal rounds, 350 45 cal rounds, and 12 hand grenades.

 

There was a 4 man crew; Commander, leader/gunner, driver, and bow gunner. Gross weight: 28,515 lbs (Combat ready). 10.50 lbs per sq in of ground pressure."
